1.
What about pricing?
Pricing is per page. Pricing is determined based on the sized
of the
album, number of pages, and complexity of page (Standard or
Deluxe). There is a minimum of 10 pages per order unless you
would like a framed layout. See products for more details. I
can email you a general quote based on what you would like if
you include your contact information in your email (name, address,
phone).
2.
Is the album itself a separate price?
Yes. I have a variety of albums to choose from. Albums vary
between $15 and $50. You may provide your own album, but I will
not begin your project until I have received it.
3.
What are business/professional scrapbook albums?
Business/professional scrapbook albums are custom designed portfolios
portraying the stages of your business. These can be displayed
for your customers/clients/patients to admire. These are great
marketing tools for your business/profession.
4.
How long does it take to complete an album?
6x6 Album is ~ 2-3 weeks*
8x8 Album is ~ 3-4 weeks*
12x12 Album is ~ 4-6 weeks*
*This may vary depending upon number of current orders
5.
Do you accept long-distance clients?
Yes. I can work with you by phone, snail mail, and email. Shipping
costs incurred will be paid by client.
6.
What would you consider a long-distance client?
I am in Middle TN. Any client outside of my home’s 60-mile
radius will be considered long distance. Please contact me to
inquire your status.
7.
What is journaling?
Journaling
is what determines the difference between and photo album and
a scrapbook. The saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand
words, but your personal written reflection on an event or moment
will make your scrapbook and photos so meaningful. I recommend
adding journaling to as many pages as possible. I personally
like a mix of handwriting and computer printed within my albums.
8. Can I include my own memorabilia?
Yes. We will discuss what items you want during the consultation
and determine specifically which would be best to include during
your album set up.
9.
What if some of my memorabilia is acidic (i.e. newspaper articles)?
Newspapers can damage your photos. There are options for including
newspaper clippings such as photocopying, lamination, and spraying
the article with deacidification spray.
10.
What do acid-free, photo-safe, and archival quality mean?
Acid is used during the paper making process.
Acid can partially disintegrate your photos over time. Magnetic
Photo Albums contain this acid and can damage your photos over
time. To the best of my knowledge, I only use acid free paper
products.
Lignin is a natural wood product found mostly
in newspaper. This is what yellows newspaper over time.
“Acid-free”, “photo-safe”,
and “archival quality” products
do not fade or discolor your photos over time. I will make every
effort to use only products labeled as above when making your
scrapbook in order to preserve your memories for as long as
possible.
11.
Do you have a contract?
Yes. The Client Agreement
is agreed upon and signed at the time of album set up. There
may be factors about custom scrapbook design that you may not
have considered.
